When you first open the app you can sign up as a new user by clicking on 'Sogn in' top right and then follow the 'new account' button:
This opens an account registration pop-up where you need to choose you username, email, and password.
When you register you are taken back to the main dashboard. From there you can go to User Menu (top right icon) > Profile and edit personal information such as display name (for the leaderboard) and email preferences.
